Joyce Florence Parker

Joyce Florence Parker (nee Tunwell) passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 22, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on August 11, 1932, in Ottawa, Ontario, she is survived by her loving partner of 45 years, Harry Billings, her son Scott Parker (Darlene Plowman) of Calgary, Alberta, her brother Don Tunwell, and nieces Sandra and Karyn, all from Ottawa. Joyce was a passionate golfer and a long-time member of Poplar Grove Golf Club. She had a deep love for gardening, particularly her tomatoes and flowers, and was an artistic soul who enjoyed painting, ceramics, and coloring. Joyce was known for her kindness and willingness to help others. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at West End Villa (Civic Hospital) for their care during her final days. Joyce will be cremated, and her ashes will be placed according to her wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
