John Kenneth Rogers Martin (Jack)

John Kenneth Rogers Martin, known as Jack, passed away peacefully at Wakefield Memorial Hospital on August 31, 2026, at the age of 95, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Heide Steiner and a cherished father to four daughters. Jack was a proud grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of twelve. His family includes Deirdre (Mark McKennirey) and their children Pierce, Ellen, and Colin; Heather Martin; Wiebke Martin and her children Tessa, Kiefer, Mieka, and Shadie; and Gwynneth Martin. He was predeceased by siblings Paul Martin, Bill Martin, and Nora Ferguson. The family expresses gratitude to Marc Chenier for his compassionate care and to the staff at Wakefield Memorial Hospital. Family and friends are invited to visit McGarry Memorial Funeral Home on September 11, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 2 PM, with a private interment to follow at Hall's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hall or MacLaren Cemeteries are appreciated.
