Joe Plunkett

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Plunkett of Ottawa, Ontario, who departed this life on September 21, 2026, at the age of 91. Joe was born on November 2, 1934, to Cyrus and Mary Plunkett (Bradley). He was predeceased by his siblings, Terence, Cyrus, Margaret, and Mary. Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Mildred (McLaughlin), his children Sandra, Lynn, and Scott, his grandchildren Brady and Allie, and his sister Teresa. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Shields Funeral Homes & Chapel, located at 1411 Hunt Club Rd, Ottawa, ON K1V1A6. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Maurice's Church, 4 Perry St, Ottawa, ON K2G1K5. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's memory to St. Patrick's Home or a charity of choice.
