Harry ALLEN

Harry Allen passed away peacefully on May 14, 2024, at the age of 93. He was the son of the late Reginald and Helena Allen and was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie. Harry is survived by his children, Reg (Debbie), Ken (Pauline), Una (Bruce), Daniel (Anna Karin), and Ruth (Steven), along with his cherished grandchildren: Serafina, Harry, Melissa, Henrik, Nicholas, Mattias, Serena, Amelia, and Isak, as well as great-grandchildren Axel and Everett. He leaves behind his sister, Evelyn, and was predeceased by siblings Frances and Jim. Harry emigrated from Tempo, Northern Ireland, to Winnipeg at 23 and later moved to Ottawa, where he became deeply involved in community service, including serving as Mayor of Gloucester from 1985 to 1991. His legacy includes significant contributions to local recreation and fiscal management, fostering growth and improvement in the community.
