Gerard Henrie

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gerard Henrie in Ottawa, Ontario, on September 29, 2026. Gerard was predeceased by his parents, Donat Henrie and Yvonne Deschamps, as well as his siblings, Philippe (Pauline) and Pierrette. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rachel (Belanger), and their children: Lyne (Kelly Ewert), Marc (Line Chalifoux), and Adèle (Carl Champoux). Gerard was a proud grandfather to Eric Desjardins (Anna Black), Alex Desjardins, Jean-Nicholas Henrie (Kat Lawlis), and Cole Champoux (Francesca Farrell). He is also survived by his siblings, André (Annette) and Nicole, along with his dedicated caregivers, Asha, Donoka, Mohamed, Blake, and Bruyère. Gerard leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many cherished friends.
