Gerald William Dewan

Gerald William Dewan of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on May 25, 1951, he was a beloved husband to Cathy Honeywell (Boucher) and a devoted father to his children, Beth (Gord), Adam (Paulina), Sarah (Josh), and Tracy (Ryan). Gerald was cherished by his grandchildren, Emily, Olivia, Patrick, Caleb, Asher, Theo, and Cecily. He was predeceased by his siblings Leona (Arnold), Noreen (David), Teresa (late Les), Patrick (Jean), Louis (Patricia), Brian (Debbie), Lorne (June), and Norman, as well as his in-law Barbara (Alex) and his parents, William and Marjorie. Visitation took place on September 4, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shields Funeral Homes & Chapel. A funeral Mass was celebrated on September 5, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Church, followed by burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
