Florentino Landicho Gecolea

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Florentino Landicho Gecolea, who departed this life on September 20, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on March 14, 1936, in Ottawa, Florentino is remembered for his warmth and thoughtfulness, leaving a profound impact on all who knew him. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Josefina (Nina). Florentino is survived by his children, Maria Nera (Ed), Luisa Gecolea, Florentino Gecolea Jr. (Tomoe), and Josephine Jordan (Sean), as well as his cherished grandchildren, Paolo, Carlos, Cameron, Andrew, and Karina. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Divine Infant Catholic Church, followed by a Mass from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A reception will be held later that day at St. Joseph Orleans Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
