Elizabeth "Betty" Pearle Green

The family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth "Betty" Pearle Green (nee Mohr) on July 30, 2026, at the age of 100. Betty was predeceased by her parents, Clifford Bruce and Laura Pearle Mohr; her husband, Dr. John "Jack" Elmer Green; and her sister, Grace Vuori (the late Henry). She is survived by her children, Carol (Ian), Gayle (the late Rick), Nancy, and Geof; her grandchildren, Sean (Jayme), James (Vanessa), Taryn (Josh), and Paul (Hayley); and great-grandchildren, Theo, Naomi, and Aurelia. Betty was born in Ottawa and raised in Quyon until the age of ten. She attended Queen's University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, and worked at the National Research Council. An active volunteer, she cherished family, friendship, and community, particularly through Kingsway United Church. Betty enjoyed gardening, baking, and reading, and her love of flowers brought her joy throughout her life.
