Dr. Matthew D. Taylor

Dr. Matthew D. Taylor passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Georgette, and sons Scott, Craig, Daniel, and Chad. He was predeceased by his son Brock. Dr. Taylor also leaves behind his grandchildren: Lucas, Quinn, Caitlin, Brianne, Matthew, Alexis, Gavin, Blayke, Gabriel, and Ariana. Born on a farm in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Dr. Taylor graduated from the University of Alberta Dental School and established a dental clinic in St. Catharines in 1968, where he practiced for 51 years. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in St. Catharines on April 25, 2026, at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow.
