Douglas Richard Thomas Stoddard (Dougie)

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas Richard Thomas Stoddard, affectionately known as Dougie, on May 25, 2026, at the age of 43. Doug was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his intelligence, creativity, and passion for music, gaming, and writing. He cherished moments spent with his niece and nephew and was eager to begin his journey as an apprentice carpenter. A talented cook, he delighted in hosting family gatherings with elaborate meals. Doug is survived by his parents, Janice and Dave, his sister Angie and her partner Nicole, his brother Rick and sister-in-law Julie, his niece Dylan, and new nephew Caius, along with many friends. A Celebration of Doug's life will take place on September 30, 2026, at a location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sobriety House, Ottawa.
