Donna Carty

Donna Carty, born on April 29, 1940, passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 86. She is predeceased by her parents, Harold McMeekin and Evelyn McMeekin; her husbands, Norman Masnyk and Reid Carty; and her granddaughter, Mikaela Masnyk Desloges. Donna is survived by her son, David Masnyk (Terry); her daughter, Dawn Buhain (Joe); her grandson, Nik; and her granddaughters, Abigail, Emily (Chase Tueffel), and Isabelle. She also leaves behind her siblings, Harold McMeekin (Angele), Gerry McMeekin (Muriel), Edwin McMeekin, Sandra St. Onge, Nancy Tailleur, Marlene Spooner (Dave), and Kathy Gauvin, as well as her siblings-in-law, Woodrow St. Onge, John Tailleur, Steve Gauvin, and Lorraine McMeekin. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 3700 Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa, ON K4M1B2. A memorial service will follow from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, with a reception from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location. Donations in memory of Donna to Campfire Circle or the Ottawa Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
