Betty Doreen (Wright) Martin

The family of Betty Doreen (Wright) Martin announces her passing on September 8, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on November 18, 1933, in Ottawa, she is fondly remembered by her family and friends. Betty was predeceased by her parents, Ada and Cyril Wright, her husband Lloyd Martin, and her sister Audrey Orton. She is survived by her children, David (Sylvie), Shelley, and Lianne (Bob Trerice), along with her grandsons Brian (Kait), Wesley (Anthony), Neil (Tori), Robert (Emily), and Ben (Melissa), and great-grandchildren Adam, Cole, and Anna. Betty is also survived by her sister Jackie (John Wakeford), sister-in-law Doris (late Malcolm Harvey), and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on September 30, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Manotick United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ottawa Humane Society, Arthritis Society Canada, or Manotick United Church.
