Andreas Sarmatzis

Andreas Sarmatzis of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away on September 2, 2026. He is predeceased by his son, Nicholas Sarmatzis, as well as his siblings, Helen Dudas (George), Koula Sarmatzis, and Vasilis Sarmatzis, and his parents, Nicholas and Fotini Sarmatzis. Andreas is survived by his children, Freda Philippe (Denis), Koula Cove (Max), Vassiliki Mitchell (Gary), and Harper, along with his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Ellwood, Charlotte, Cooper, Kinsley, Zayden, Zahra-Mae, and Lyla-Ann. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, followed by a funeral service at 11:45 AM. Burial will occur at Pinecrest Cemetery at 2:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Renfrew.
