Alan Gregor STACEY

Alan Gregor Stacey passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at the age of 80, in Kemptville. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine for 57 years and is survived by their daughters, Kate Stacey and Beth Turner, and their grandchildren, Holly, Amy, Grayson, Sylvia, Julia, Charlie, and Daisy. Alan is also mourned by his sister, Joyce Courtney, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Yvette Pilon, and nieces and nephews, Chris, Julia, Jackie, and Joseph. A proud graduate of McMaster University and Brock University, Alan taught history and geography at Ancaster High School and later at Parkside High School in Dundas. He was dedicated to land conservation, serving as a board member and chairman of the Hamilton Region Conservation Authority, president of the Bruce Trail Association, and working with The Nature Conservancy of Canada and The Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust. Alan's conservation efforts were recognized with several awards, including the Dr. Victor Cecilioni Environmentalist of the Year Award and the White Owl Conservation Award.
