Stephen Gilroy (Gizzie)

Stephen 'Gizzie' Gilroy passed away on August 31, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on March 7, 1960, he was the proud father of Stephanie Jordan (Bryce) and Lindsay Shayda (Aaron), and the best Papa to Quintyn, Zachary, and Tyler. He is the son of Helen and the late George Gilroy, and brother to Phil, Norm, and the late Doug Gilroy. Steve will be remembered by his nieces, nephew, cousins, and many friends. He was a longtime employee at Bathe & McLellan Building Materials and an avid golfer and sports fan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at De Stefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Dr. in Oshawa. The family will hold a private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honour of his memory.
