Roger Joseph Richard

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Roger Joseph Richard in Oshawa, Ontario, on October 18, 2026. Roger was predeceased by his parents, Mary Jane (Legere) and Alexander Richard. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn (Snowdon), and their children, Brent (Claudia), Laura (Michael), and Lisa (Chris). Roger was a proud grandfather to Jonathan, Natalie (Oliver), Tyler (Christine), Daniel, Troy, Andrew (Emma), Cole, Zachary, and Calen, as well as a great-grandfather to Grayson and Georgia Roy. He is also survived by his siblings, Walter, Marie, Levina (Richard), and Dorice, along with numerous siblings-in-law including Barbara Grace, Bonnie, Isobel, David, Michael, Jim, and Vince. Roger is remembered by his daughter Brenda and his siblings Camille, Edward, and Clara, as well as additional siblings-in-law Eileen, Donna, Susan, Blanche, Thérèse, Jack, Fred, and Harold. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at Armstrong Funeral Home, located at 124 King St E, Oshawa, ON L1H1B6. A funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 PM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, situated at 214 Simcoe St N, Oshawa, ON L1G4S9. Memorial donations may be made to St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church, The Canadian Wildlife Federation, or a charity of your choice.
