John Van Staveren

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Van Staveren of Oshawa, Ontario, who departed this life on September 15, 2026, at the age of 84. John was born on May 23, 1942. He is predeceased by his brother Harry (Annie). John is survived by his beloved wife Trudy, and their children Ken (Patti), Raymond, and Lisa (John). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Krista (Corey), Jessica (Andrew), Justin (Julia), Reese, Darien, and Sophia, as well as his great-grandchildren Amelia, Owen, Wyatt, Leo, and Cole. John is also survived by his siblings Neil (Ann) and Ineke, along with many brothers and sisters-in-law. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Oshawa Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
