DR. MYLES FRANKLIN BEATTY

Dr. Myles Franklin Beatty passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on August 9, 1947, he began his career as a Mechanical Engineer before pursuing medical studies at the University of Western Ontario. He specialized in gynecology and served as Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oshawa General Hospital/Lakeridge Health Oshawa, attending the births of nearly 10,000 babies in Oshawa from 1980 through 2020. Dr. Beatty is survived by his wife, Stephanie; children, Jordy and Nate (Rachel); and grandchild, Xander; sister, Fran (Peter); and nieces and nephew, Alex and Jason, Karla, Aly and Kasey. A Celebration Of Life will take place at the Oshawa Golf and Country Club on March 8th from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. Donations can be directed to The Back Door Mission Oshawa.
