Laurene (Baker) Duncan

Laurene Duncan, née Baker, of Orillia, Ontario, was born on July 6, 1929 and died on August 10, 2026, at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her husbands Thomas Duncan and Joseph Ernest Oakley, her daughter Judy Cranney (Bill), and her siblings Val, Henry and Joan. She is survived by her children Scott Duncan (Marg), Diane Bush (late Barry Bush) and Sandra Higgins (Glenn); her grandchildren Troy, Mark, Todd, Neil, Marci, David, Lindsey, Kristi and Nicole; and her sister Marion Brooks. Visitation took place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia, ON. A funeral service was held at the same location from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception until 3:00 p.m. and a burial at St. James' Cemetery, 320 Coldwater Road West, Orillia, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to Mariposa House Hospice.
