Joan Browne

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Browne of Orillia, Ontario, who departed this life on September 8, 2026. Joan is predeceased by her mother, Margaret; her sister, Susan; and her former husband, Richard Browne. She is survived by her children: Jill, John of Calgary, Nancy, Ed (Zantinge) of Owen Sound, Richard, Kellie (West) of North Carolina, Michael, and Trish (Hanselman) of Ontario. Joan also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren: Natalie, Michael, Ryan Zantinge (Maegen (Guse)) of Collingwood, Katelyn Browne (Susanna), and Richard Browne (Kim). A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Simcoe Funeral Home, located at 38 James St E, Orillia, ON L3V1L1. Instead of flowers, donations in Joan's name may be made to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital or the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, directed to the department or area of your choice.
