James Douglas Williams

James Douglas Williams of Orillia, Ontario, died on August 11, 2026, at the age of 72. He was survived by his wife Jane; his parents, Floyd and Joan Halstead; his siblings John Williams (married to Joanne), Joanne Warren (married to Dale), and Lynne Brownell (married to Jim); his siblings‑in‑law Anthony Evans (surviving his late wife Diane), Paul Evans (married to Marlene), Anne Evans, Josie Grubb (married to Brian), Mary Armstead (married to Phillip), and Peter Smith (married to Liz); a large group of nieces and nephews including Scott, Chris Williams (married to Teresa), Jason Warren, Kirk, Julie Brownell, Neil, Joel Evans, Katrina Nemeth (married to Andy), Sean Massa, Ashley Rolinsky (married to Matt), Darcy Paull (married to Matt), Dan, Katy Walker, Claire, Kate, Louise Armstead, Michelle Galpin and Joanne Smith; and close friends Polly, Snickers, Buffy, Kelsey and Abby, as well as an extended family network. A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia, ON L3V 5C1. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Simcoe or the Royal Victoria Hospital Cancer Centre in his memory.
