Eric Russell Day

The family announces the passing of Eric Russell Day of Orillia, Ontario, on October 4, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on October 9, 1932, Eric is remembered for the joy he brought to those around him and the meaningful relationships he cultivated throughout his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Vera May (Parker) and Albert Russell Day, his sister Doris Beavers (Day), brother-in-law Gene Beavers, and sister Carol Thompson (Day). Eric is survived by his wife Lorna and his brother-in-law Elgin Thompson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mundell Funeral Home, located at 79 West Street N, Orillia, ON L3V5C1.
