Cecil Frederick George Ward

Cecil Frederick George Ward of Orillia, Ontario, passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on July 20, 1937, he was surrounded by family, friends, and community throughout his life. Cecil was predeceased by his parents, Donald Ward and Edna Ward, as well as his siblings, Donna Hitchcock (Dale), Percy Ward (late Pat), and Russell Ward (Barbara). He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ward; his children, Mark Ward and Colleen Calhoun (Dan); his granddaughters, Marissa and Kayla; and his great grandchild, Landen. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Simcoe Funeral Home, located at 38 James St E, Orillia, ON L3V1L1. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location, followed by a reception at 1:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Parkinson Canada.
