Arthur Robert Torrie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur Robert Torrie of Orillia, Ontario, who departed this life on October 13, 2026, at the age of 88. Arthur was born on April 20, 1938. He was predeceased by his son, Darren Torrie (Joyce) of Stony Rapids; his parents, John Torrie and Dorothy Torrie; and his siblings, Harold (Mabel) and Glen (Gwen). Arthur is survived by his beloved spouse, Marlyen Torrie; his children, Valerie (Gary Clark) of Severn Bridge, Cynthia (Joe Romano) of Markham, and Robin (Grant Adams) of Saskatoon; and his grandchildren, Allison Torrie Clark (Aroop Patel), Jessica Torrie Clark, Malachi Torrie Clark, Rebekah Torrie Clark, Christopher Romano (Savannah), Jordan Romano (Samantha), Julia Romano (David Bertuzzi), Cassandra Romano, Philip Adams, Olivia Adams (Nick Busch), Kennedy Adams, and Kimberly Torrie. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Rocky Romano and Vienna Romano; his siblings, Phyllis McKenzie (Harold), Leone Marshall (Tom), and Brian (Elizabeth); and his close friend, Torson Contracting. Additionally, he is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and good friends. Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Mundell Funeral Home, located at 79 West Street N, Orillia, ON L3V5C1. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knox Normanby Presbyterian Church.
