Ruth Friesen, a resident of Orangeville, Ontario, was born on June 27, 1940, in Naicam, Saskatchewan, and died on July 30, 2026, at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Friesen; her brother, Harold Sandsbraaten of Naicam, Saskatchewan; and her sons, Douglas, Mark (married to Colleen), Dwayne (married to Kim) and Bradley (married to Shannon). Survivors include her sister, Jean Hoover of Calgary, Alberta; grandchildren Harriet, Robyn, Ashley, Andrew, Audrey and Ryan; and great‑grandchildren Alexis, William, Mason and Fisher. The family requests acts of kindness in her memory in lieu of flowers.
