Melba Self

Melba Self of Orangeville, Ontario, was born on June 5, 1924, and died on August 22, 2026, at the age of 102. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Self, her son Calvin Self, her parents Russell and Laura Osland, her brother Lyle Osland (Adalene), and her stepsister Margaret Harris. Survivors include her daughter‑in‑law Pearl and her grandsons Daniel, Jason and Gregory Self. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville, ON. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the same location, with a reception from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 14 Cemetery Road, Orangeville, ON. Memorial contributions may be made to Tweedsmuir Presbyterian Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
