Janet Speers

Janet Speers of Orangeville, Ontario, passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 89. She was born on July 11, 1937. Janet is survived by her husband Harold Speers; her children Rob (married to Deb), Bette Anne, Patti Paterson (married to Paul), and David; her grandsons Trent (son of Sarah) and Neil; her sister Margaret Anderson; and numerous other relatives and lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her brothers‑in‑law George Pinkney (married to Barbara), Robert Pinkney (married to Irene), Wayne Speers, and Bryan Speers. Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville, ON L9W 2C8. A funeral service took place on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mark's Anglican Church, 5 First Avenue, Orangeville, ON L9W 1H7, followed by a reception at the same location from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The family requests memorial donations to St. Mark's Anglican Church‑Parish Nurse Ministry or the Alzheimer Society, Dufferin County Chapter.
