Chris Simmons

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Chris Simmons of Orangeville, Ontario. Chris was born on August 18, 1946, and she passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 80. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Simmons; her children, Andrea Tessman (Dean) and Shawn Simmons (Krista); her grandchildren, Anastasia, Avery, Tyler, and Emily; her brother, John Gaetz; and her stepsiblings, Francie and John. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends. Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, located at 21 First St, Orangeville, ON L9W2C8. A funeral service took place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church, located at 42 Dawson Rd, Orangeville, ON L9W2W3. A reception followed the service on the same day from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
