STEPHEN BALABAN

Stephen Balaban passed away peacefully at St. Michael's Hospital on May 14, 2026, at the age of 77, following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was the beloved husband of Bayla, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Stephen was the loving father of Mark and his late wife Bridget Belton, Jason, and David. He was a devoted grandfather of Maya, Noa, and Norah. Stephen was the loving son of the late Phil and Sharon Balaban. He is survived by his brother Shawn and his wife Barb, and predeceased by his brother Michael and Pat. Stephen was also predeceased by his parents-in-law Miriam and Leonard Wodlinger. He is fondly remembered by his brother and sister-in-law Harold and Eva Wodlinger. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
