Sheila MATTHEWS

Sheila Marie Matthews passed away on June 4, 2026, at the age of 89, at Fairview Home, with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband, Harold, the love of her life and devoted companion for almost 56 years; her son, Blair, and his wife Erin, and their son Carter; her daughter, Natalie, and her husband Warren Holmes, and their children Seth, Simon, Shelby, and Sabrina; her sister, Maxine, and her husband George Scott; her sister-in-law Bev Simmons; her brother-in-law Glen, and his wife Carmel Matthews; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Sheila was predeceased by her parents, Oswald and Myrtle Simmons; her brother, Raymond; and her nephew, Mark Scott. Born on April 30, 1937, in Windsor, Sheila grew up in Courtland and later attended London Teachers' College. She worked as a kindergarten teacher and was a proud and devoted mother and grandmother to five grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Home for their care and support.
