Ludi (nee Beard) LEEUWENBURG
Ludi Leeuwenburg (nee Beard) passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Richard (Rich) Leeuwenburg, and her children, Hannah MacSporran (Darius) and Matthew Leeuwenburg. Ludi was also a cherished grandma to Ross. She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Jim and Eva Beard, and her mother-in-law, Elsie Leeuwenburg. Ludi was predeceased by her father-in-law, Jake Leeuwenburg. She also leaves behind her cherished friend, Lori Michener, and many dear friends, extended family members, and co-workers. Ludi had a deep love for animals, including her dogs, Butters, Maisie, Norman, Tucker, and Lola, as well as her cat, Kitten. She found great joy in gardening and took pride in her beautiful flower beds. Ludi was known for her caring and compassionate nature and was passionate about her career as a Personal Support Worker. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at Pleasantview Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow on June 20 at 11:15 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choosing in Ludi's memory.
