Lillian HAMBLING

Lillian Hambling passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, at Linhaven Home for the Aged at the age of 106. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred, who died in 1995. Lillian is survived by her loving son William and his wife Linda. She is also survived by her sisters Florence Merrick, whose husband Charles died in 2009, and Eva Uhrynuk and her husband Wally. Lillian was predeceased by her brother Walter Howe and his wife Elsie, and her sister Katherine Merrick and her husband Gord. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, as well as her great nieces and nephews. Lillian is remembered for her legendary Christmas and birthday 'goodie bags' and her delicious cooking and baking. She lived a long and simple life, remaining true to her traditions and values. Despite her vision loss and the challenges of advancing age, Lillian remained mentally sharp and determined until the end. She spent her final year at Linhaven Home for the Aged, where she received excellent care and kindness from the staff.
