Jana (née Patterson) GILLIS

Jana (née Patterson) GILLIS passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the age of 71. She was the beloved sister of Joy (Bruce), David (Olga), and Shona (Danny), and loving aunt to Darlene (Shawn), Tammy (Matt), Adrina (Michael), Kelly (Rob), and Kristy (James), and predeceased by her nephew Ryan (Rebekah). Jana was also a proud great-aunt to Cameron, Kassandra, Kate, Zachary, Emily, and Sophie. She served for three decades with the St. Catharines Fire Department before becoming Chief Fire Prevention Officer at the Grimsby Fire Department from 2015-2019, and also worked at the Ontario Fire College and with the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management. In lieu of flowers, donations to McNally House would be greatly appreciated. Guests will be received at Pleasantview Funeral Home for visitation on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow in the chapel.
