Barbara BEATTIE LINDSAY

Barbara Beverley Shirley Beth Beattie passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, at the age of 61, in the company of her three children, Cassondra (Peter), Joseph (Hayley) and Lavinia (Michael). Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Richard Lindsay, and their faithful cat, Finn. Barbara leaves behind three grandchildren, Patrick, Alexander and Isabelle Barbara, all of whom she loved with all her heart. Born December 29, 1964, in Niagara Falls, New York, Barbara was known for her calm demeanour that made others feel welcome in her presence. Barbara was an incredibly nurturing and loving person, especially towards her family and anyone who entered her home. She was a phenomenal gift giver, pie baker and gardener, among many other things. Barbara's knowledge of vintage memorabilia and cultural artifacts was unparalleled, and she had a keen ability to recognize the hidden value of all things. Barbara carried herself with admirable confidence, and always stood up for what she believed in. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses at the Walker Family Cancer Center, especially Doctor Cameron Phillips, in addition to the Emergency Care department at G.N.G.H who have supported Barbara throughout her years with cancer. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, at Sacred Heart Church, 3882 Main St, in Chippawa, followed by an onsite reception. The family welcomes flower contributions in her honour.
