Paul Anthony SMITH

Paul Anthony Smith passed away at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on October 7, 2025, at the age of 77. He was the son of William and Mary Smith and grew up in St. Marys, ON. Paul received a BA with a major in Fine Arts from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, and studied at Haystack Mt. School of Design in Maine. He taught art at Nelson High School in Burlington, ON. Paul was a potter, watercolourist, and avid gardener, and his love of nature and design led him to bonsai. He was always accompanied by his beloved dogs. Paul is survived by his husband, Merv Walker, of Burlington, ON. At his request, he will be cremated and buried in St. Marys Cemetery. There will be no graveside service.
