MARJORIE YAMKA

Marjorie Yamka (nee Briden) passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, at the age of 81, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, following a courageous journey with Alzheimer's disease. Born on May 27, 1944, in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, nurse, and friend. She shared 58 years of marriage with her husband, Walter; and is lovingly remembered by their children, Debbie, Rob (Courtney), and Paul (Samantha); and her cherished grandchildren, Wil, Katie, Madie, Santina, Benjamin, and Lincoln. Her dogs, Murphy and Ozzy, always brought a smile to her face. A dedicated nurse, Marjorie spent her life caring for others, with compassion, patience, and quiet strength. Her kindness and gentle spirit will be lasting memories for all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. To honour her final wishes, Marjorie will be cremated and no service will be held. The family may hold a Celebration of Life on a date yet to be determined.
