Kay Sahan

Kay Sahan of Oakville, Ontario, was born on December 15, 1923, and died on August 15, 2026, at the age of 102. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Anna Wayda, and by her siblings, Mike Wayda and Olga Blasko. She is survived by her sister, Mary Klymas; her step‑grandchildren, Kim Calamanici (Joe) and Stephanie Pelshea; her great‑grandchildren, Sofiya and Matthew Lomon; and her step‑great‑granddaughter, Hailey Calamanici. Visitation was held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Ukraine Chapel, 1280 Dundas Street West, Oakville, ON L6M4H9. A funeral service followed at 11:00 a.m. at the same location, and burial took place at 12:00 p.m. at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, also at 1280 Dundas Street West. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre in Kay's honour.
