John Kidston

John Kidston of Oakville, Ontario, passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on April 9, 1937, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, John is predeceased by his son, David Andrew Gibson, and his parents, Giacomina (Jennie) and John Kidston. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria May, and their sons, John Ralph Everett and Paul Douglas. John also leaves behind his grandchildren, Joy, Benjamin, Hans, and Sebastian, as well as his siblings, Arthur (Lola May), Lillian, and Janet, along with numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM, both at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, the Canadian Wildlife Federation, or the Halton Regional Police Chorus would be appreciated.
