James Robert Grainger

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Robert Grainger, known affectionately as Jimmie, on May 17, 2026, at the age of 84. Jimmie was the devoted husband of Elizabeth Grainger, and they were looking forward to celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary on June 13, 2026. He is survived by his children Glenn (Jenn) and Rob, from his marriage to the late Marion, as well as his son Sean, whom he shared with Liz, and his six grandchildren. Born in North Bay, Ontario, Jimmie was the son of Robert (Bob) and Elizabeth Grainger. He was proud of his North Bay heritage, being part of a family with deep roots in the community. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 1 PM to 3 PM at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, located at 3164 Ninth Line in Oakville.
