HENRY "HAL" MALCOLM SMITH, ESQ.

Henry "Hal" Malcolm Smith, Esquire, passed away in Oakville, Ontario, on August 16, 2026, at the age of 104. He was born on October 7, 1921, in Niagara-on-the-Lake, the only child of Henry and Mary Margaret Smith (née Hall). He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Marguerite Stinson, and is survived by their only child, Mark Douglas Malcolm Smith of Oakville. Mr. Smith served in World War II in England, North Africa and India, and spent his professional career with the Royal Bank of Canada, working in several provinces and countries before retiring in 1981. In later years he pursued genealogy with great enthusiasm. A private family funeral will be held. The family requests memorial contributions to St. Jude's Church and Mission Services Hamilton.
