Helen Kress

The family of Helen Kress announces her passing on October 2, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on September 6, 1944, in Oakville, Ontario, Helen is remembered fondly by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was predeceased by her husband, Brian, and her brother, Dennis Maughan. Helen is survived by her daughters, Heather Kress and Julie James (Chris), her grandchildren, Meghan and Thomas, her close friend, Jasper, and her siblings, Holly Newton (Jim) and Evan McPherson. Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home. A funeral Mass took place on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.
