Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Hendrika Corey and Hamilton Corey, and his brother Ron. He is survived by his sister Laurie, his wife Susan, and his stepdaughter Jennifer (Chris). In honour of Gord's wishes, memorial donations may be made to Ducks Unlimited Canada in lieu of flowers.
