Elfriede (nee Ganz) LECHNER

Elfriede Lechner (nee Ganz) passed away peacefully in Oakville on May 20, 2026, at the age of 91. Born in Baesweiler, Germany on October 3, 1934, she immigrated to Canada at the age of 19 and began a new life. Elfriede was predeceased by her husband, Egon Lechner, and her partner, Peter Appleyard. She is survived by her daughters, Kim and Karina, and her grandchildren, Lara and Declan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Oakville Humane Society or the Lions Foundation of Canada Guide Dogs.
