ANNA "JUNE" TAWTON

Anna "June" Tawton (nee Leslie), born on June 5, 1929, in Toronto, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the sixth of seven children born to Harry and Elizabeth Leslie (nee Bullock), and is survived by her siblings, Harry (Jean), Agnes (Bruce Mahaffy), Betty (Tommy Hills), Lindsey (Marion), William (Joan), and Margaret (Boyd McKee). June was predeceased by her husband, Graham "Gray" Tawton, with whom she shared a deep Christian faith after marrying in 1953. Together, they raised their children: Michael, Lizabeth (John Ozolins), and Joanne (Rachel Ross). June was a devoted grandmother to Christopher Ozolins (Rachel Dubeau) and Katherine Ozolins (Ray Elkins), and cherished her great-grandchildren, Indi and Van Elkins. A dedicated member of her community and church, June was known for her kindness and generosity. Friends may visit the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18th, at St. Andrew's Memorial Presbyterian Church.
