Alan Richmond

Alan Richmond passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 88. Born in 1938 in Easington Colliery, England, to Violet and Samuel Richmond, Alan grew up in a hardworking coal mining community. He married Nancy in 1959, and they shared a life of nearly 67 years, building a family and career together. Alan was a devoted father to Gillian and Alison, and cherished his grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah. He founded Mondel Engineering in 1975 and led it with integrity until selling the business in 1995. Alan was known for his strong work ethic, sincerity, and generosity, guided by his philosophy, 'It's nice to be nice.' He and Nancy shared a love of travel and spent 23 winters in Naples, Florida, creating lasting memories with their family.
