GEORGE DARLINGTON

George Darlington passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, and their daughter, Diane, as well as his grandchildren, Braydon and Meghan, and their mother, Julie Thompson. George is also survived by his niece, Janice House, and his nephews, Steve Darlington, Danny Smith, and David Smith. He was predeceased by his son, Thomas William George Darlington, and his siblings, Tom Darlington and Minnie Smith. George had a distinguished career at Loblaws Companies Limited and later established his own business, Mr. Fixit. He was a devoted family man and an active member of his church, serving as Warden and founding the Monk Cell fundraising dinners. George enjoyed various hobbies, including camping, baseball, and curling. Funeral services will be held on August 6, 2026, at St. Theodore of Canterbury Anglican Church, followed by a reception at the family home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Jays Care Foundation's Give a Kid Their First Baseball Glove program in George's memory.
