ANTONIO ARNALDO DE FREITAS

António Arnaldo De Freitas passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, at the age of 88, surrounded by his family at Hennick Humber River Hospital in North York. Born on March 22, 1938, in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal, António was predeceased by his parents, João Pereira De Freitas and Maria Da Costa Pereira De Freitas, and by his siblings, Cristina, Isaura, João, and Fernando. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Encarnação; his daughter, Susy Schumacher (Brad); his grandsons, Matthew and Andrew; and his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass, and entombment. In lieu of flowers, donations in António's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
