Shirley Eloise CARFAGNINI

Shirley Eloise Carfagnini (née Munro) passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at the age of 96. She was predeceased by her cherished husband, Joshua ('Joe') Carfagnini (1926–1996). Shirley is survived by her loving children, Allan Carfagnini (Lynda) of Callander, Jay Carfagnini (Karen) of Toronto, and Sally Jeanneault-Boyer of Katrine, along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her parents, Jesse Truan and Allan Munro, and her siblings, Clarke Munro and Geraldine Schrader. A dedicated registered nurse, Shirley served at Civic Hospital in North Bay and volunteered at the North Bay Civic Cancer Clinic and North Bay Regional Health Centre. Her family will remember her vibrant spirit and love for travel, dancing, and gatherings. The family expresses gratitude to the staff of Eastholme in Powassan for their compassionate care. In her memory, donations may be made to the Joshua and Shirley Carfagnini Athletic Award at Nipissing University.
