Peter Joseph Chadbourn

The family of Peter Joseph Chadbourn announces his peaceful passing on June 15, 2026, at the age of 91, at Northern Heights Long Term Care Home in North Bay. He was the beloved husband of Diane, who predeceased him in 2021. Peter was a devoted father to David (Valerie), Greg (Jean), Michael (Karen), Susan Karn (Randy), Pollyanna Horodziejczyk (Mike), and Nancy Karn (Jeff), and a cherished foster dad to Josephine Cuthbert (Gerry). He leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, as well as his sister Wendy Gilbert (Greg). Peter was predeceased by his siblings Shirley, Nola, Donna, Bill, Lorne, Jolene, and Diane, along with his parents, Joseph and Norma Chadbourn (nee Davey). A dedicated machinist and fabricator, Peter was known for his strong work ethic and love of the outdoors, having operated a farm with his wife while raising their family. He was also an avid musician, playing the piano daily, and enjoyed woodworking in retirement, crafting furniture and grandfather clocks for his family. The family expresses gratitude to all of Peter's caregivers at North Bay Regional Hospital and Northern Heights.
