Oliver James Julius Brooks

Oliver James Julius Brooks, born on December 23, 1930, passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 95. He is predeceased by his wife Ina, his son Dwight Brooks, his grandson Kevin Brooks, his siblings Edward Raaflaub, Lois Carpenter, Wayne Brooks (Betty), and his parents George Brooks and Matilda Brooks. Oliver is survived by his daughters Debra Nadeau (Andre) and Diane Reid (late Rick), as well as his siblings Shirley Schmidt, Audrey Empey, Beverley Schnider (Peter), and Maynard Brooks (Jeananne). He is also remembered by his extended family and friends. Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, located at 9 Paget St, Sundridge, ON P0A1Z0. A memorial service followed at 1:00 PM at the same location. The family would appreciate memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
